Erika Smith is a passionate and hardworking individual who aims to make an impact and defy expectations. She is a student at Harvard University studying Social Studies with a secondary field in Statistics and a language citation in French. She prides herself in her involvement in her community on campus. She holds leadership positions as Inclusivity Chair for the Association of Harvard Black Women and as Career Development Director for one of the largest organizations on campus, Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business. Additionally, Erika is a Case Team Leader for Harvard Consulting on Business and the Environment, where she works with her team to conduct research and make recommendations for various Fortune 500 companies. In Summer 2021, she will be an incoming business analyst at Mckinsey & Company.

After joining in June of 2020, Erika is working as an apprentice for New York VC Firm where she analyzes portfolio companies. She also spearheaded a Diversity and Inclusion initiative which resulted in participation in a deal close of an amazing Black woman founder’s $32M Series A round. She closely follows the press surrounding her entrepreneur’s portfolio companies and has created content that increased impressions by over 30k at the end of 2020. Erika is also currently developing a unique joint marketing, content creation, and sales strategy to take an up and coming beverage company nationwide and explore the D2C space.

Erika is a firm believer in creating space to uplift others through her work. Using the skills learned through Apprentice, she hopes to fuse her passions of entrepreneurship, travel, finance, and fashion into a successful business.
