Daren is a junior at Harvard University studying Sociology with a secondary in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. She is deeply invested in using art and creative vision as tools of communication and identity-building, and relating nuanced cultural histories into a modern-day business context. Daren serves as Vice President of the Harvard performance group KeyChange where she works with small businesses to develop promotion partnerships and sponsorships, and organizes and participates in live shows. She is also a Teacher and Board Member of the Strong Women, Strong Girls Boston-chapter, an all-girls Phillips Brooks House Association mentoring organization. Outside of the classroom, Daren has written several pieces focusing on consumer market data and sociocultural phenomena for national and international newspapers, including the Princeton Summer Journal and Brazil’s Folha de São Paulo where she collaborated with Brazilian Netflix and Spotify data analysts and marketers. In addition to working at the Harvard Radio Broadcasting Station, WHRB 95.3 FM, Daren also runs a growing Instagram page that advocates for mental health awareness and emotional wellbeing.
